NEWSPORTAL.id - The implementation of the Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (Pamsimas) from the Public Works and Public Housing Agency (PUPR) of Tebo Regency has been greatly felt by the Indigenous Legal Community of the Anak Dalam Tribe (MHA SAD) Temenggung Apung Group, in Muara Kilis Village, Tengah Ilir District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. The reason is, now it is very easy for them to get clean water.
Usually, they (MHA SAD) have a hard time getting clean water to meet their daily needs. Sometimes they have to go around looking for rivers that still have clean water to take water from.
Even during the dry season, they are forced to buy water to meet their cooking and drinking needs.
"Alhamdulillah, after Pamsimas was built in our place, now we no longer have difficulty getting clean water," said Temenggung Apung, leader of MHA SAD Muara Kilis Village.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Orang Rimbo Kito Foundation (ORIK), Ahmad Firdaus, who has been accompanying the MHA SAD Temenggung Apung Group.
He said, before Pamsimas was built, MHA SAD Temenggung Apung Group often bought water to meet their daily needs.
He admitted that at the MHA SAD Temenggung Apung Group settlement location there is a tributary, but the water is very murky and not suitable for use.
Therefore, the institution proposed to the Tebo PUPR Service to build Pamsimas in the MHA SAD Temenggung Apung Group residential area.
"Alhamdulillah, our proposal was responded to by the Tebo PUPR Service and now they no longer have difficulty getting clean water," said Firdaus.
Head of the Tebo PUPR Service, Hendri Nora, expressed his gratitude to Temenggung Apung and all MHA SAD residents of Muara Kilis Village who have implemented and managed clean water well.
"We hope that this can be maintained and utilized sustainably," he said.
He said that clean water is a necessity for all humans, not a handful of people. Therefore, he hopes that Pamsimas is maintained, managed and utilized properly.
"We really hope that Pamsimas can be felt by the entire community here, especially the MHA SAD Temenggung Apung Group," he said.
